I decided last weekend that I need to get moving on what has been rolling inside my head – I need to start working on what will become my 40th book!

“Now What? Reinvention and the Role of Optimism in Our Post-Covid World” has now moved from a conceptual thought in my mind to the phase where I’m actively thinking and strategizing on the writing process. Research? I think I’ve been doing that for several months already – I now need to accelerate and formalize it.

What this DOESN’T mean is that I don’t have a release date. I never really know how these things go until I am finished; my family knows from experience that when it comes to writing timelines, I overthink, underdeliver, and aggressively postpone the process. I am planning for that not to be the case with this one – I am anticipating and thinking of a fall 2021 release date. It will come out under my Oblio Press imprint, which has published my books since 2004. (In case you were wondering, I co-wrote 34 books about the Internet in the 1990s. Most are now but obscure memories.)

What this DOES mean is that the theme – ‘reinvention‘ – is now firmly implanted in my mind as both a reflection of the personal pathway I am on, but also the radar that I have tuned in. I am now consumed by the idea and concept of reinvention – for example, it has already made its way into a new video series I am running, “Reinventing Your Reality – Stories On Personal Growth,”

The theme is already making its way into my research – I have several news filters already running searching for the phrase, capturing its essence, and targeting them my way. My mind is attuned to stories of reinvention, business strategies related to the issue, and the trends that define its future.

Reinvention will be the theme, action, and focus for 2021. Because it’s time!
