“Now What? Reinvention &
The Role of Optimism in
Our Post-Pandemic World
Critical Insight from
25 Years of Onstage Experience
Reinvention surrounds us.
It is inherent to our future, fundamental to our success, and a pathway to our action. In the book, I take a look at the concept of ‘reinvention’ from a personal, business, and societal perspective.
What is the essence of the mindset of those who have successfully reinvented? What are the key concepts that leaders need to think about to align their organizations to the reality of a vastly different future – and act upon it? How have nations aligned to the idea of ‘doing what’s next’ rather than ‘doing what has already been done’ in order to enhance their opportunity in the next economy?
Reinvention comes in different attitudes, strategies, disruptive thinking, and actions. I’m working to define the opportunities of reinvention; lessons from world leaders, both personal and corporate who have achieved it, the lessons we can learn from them – and specific strategies to redefine and reinvent your own future.
Now what? We all need a powerful pathway into the future, the mindset necessary to get there, and the bold actions that must be pursued!
This new book and theme from Futurist Jim Carroll defines your path forward.
How Have People Reinvented for their Future?
When you build a global career that has you providing advice, guidance and insight on the future and disruptive innovation to global leaders, you develop a little bit of critical insight along the way.
Organizations like the World Bank, NASA, Disney, Nikon, Microsoft and hundreds more have brought me in for senior leadership or customer events. Each has involved a unique issue or topic – I’ve become recognized worldwide for the highly customized keynotes for rock solid research and insight. I’ve decided a great way to utilize this insight is to start up a video leadership series from my virtual broadcast studio.
What’s your path forward from the global pandemic?
What’s Your Reinvention Plan?
How will you ensure that you are aligned to the new trends that define your future while the old trends that were disrupting you march on at a furious space?
That’s what I’m covering in this unique video series, filmed in my world-class virtual broadcast studio (it’s in my basement!)
Introduction
What are the lessons we can learn from the big issues that global powerhouses have been dealing with? I’ve had a front-row seat to the disruptive trends that are shaping their strategies – and the innovative mindset they need to pursue to get there intact.
Here’s the inaugaural, introductory ‘show’ – it will give you an idea of what I will be covering. I’ll be filming every 2-4 days, and will be posting the videos on social media, here on my blog, and summarizing them on this page at https://leadership.jimcarroll.com

Interview with a Successful Ex-Felon
Reinvention is not just about going virtual – it is about reclaiming your life!
In this interview from my “Reinvention” series, which is feeding the content for my next book, I interview Randy Kearse, founder and CEO of “Reentry Strategies,” author of “Change Your Game Plan” & “From Incarceration 2 Incorporation,” and a frequent speaker focused on reinvention.
Randy spent 30 plus years trapped in a cycle of violence, drug dealing, city, state, and federal prison. His journey of change is inspiring and proof positive that you can reclaim your life after prison, addiction and a life of poor choices.
Reinvention, personified!
