Partnerships? They’re the most powerful pathway for your personal progress!

The last several weeks have been pretty interesting from a work perspective – when I wake up in the morning and start out on this daily inspirational quote, I’ll first take a glance at my overnight email.

Most days, there’s a message from my Web design team in Melbourne, the programmer in the Philippines, my video producer in Russia currently working in Armenia, my jack-of-all-trades assistant guy in Sri Lanka, and for a brief time, a data-scraping guy in Dubai.

I’m coordinating with my global team even before the second sip of coffee even hits my bloodstream!

Here in Toronto, Canada where I live, there’s a well known radio jingle for a weight loss support group that has the memorable tag line: “Remember – If you could do it alone, you would have done it already.”

That about sums up how you should approach everything in your working and personal life.

On a personal level, partnerships are powerful – the role of support groups for personal success is a proven fact. People dealing with recovery from powerful addictions find solace and motivation through group sharing; successful athletes assemble a squad of coaches, analysts and trainers to help them reach the highest bar of success; senior executives find a business coach to guide them through the complexities of their task.

Everywhere you look, it’s a team effort!

The same is true in business.

For years on stage, I’ve been talking about the importance of setting yourself up with ‘complexity partnerships.’ Quite simply, your world has become far too complex to try to do it on your own. With rapid change, forming fast teams and fast partnerships, drawing a lot of innovation oxygen from that external insight, becomes a critical pathway for success.

Partnerships? Getting the right skills at the right time for the right purpose!

So today?

Go out and find some great partners!

Because, if you could do it alone, it would already be done!
