“Put some spontaneity in your soul!” – Futurist Jim Carroll

 I’m not a big fan of structure. I’m hopelessly disorganized and have always been. I’ve got a powerful partner who keeps me in check! I’m on stage in San Antonio 2 1/2 hours from now, and there is a detailed list that guides me on where I need to be, at what time.

Structure is critical, but sometimes, it smothers!

That’s why I’ll often not go into overkill when I’m on stage.

To cover a trend, I’ll often simply put a picture up instead of a long, complicated list of bullets with extensive detail.

Give me a picture of a trend, and I can build an entire story around what it means. I’ll use a picture of a cow, spin into the fact that we’ve got FitBits for cows, and from that, launch into a story as to how that is the fact that we are witnessing an acceleration of the science of batteries which will impact the electrical, automotive, food industries and many more.

And it’s true!

I’m a big fan of random moments of craziness that lead to inspiration! If you live a life that is totally structured, routine and predictable, you fall into a rut that can smother your creativity. Spontaneity is the answer!
