It’s like a picture from the olden days! My time on stage!

It’s hard to believe that just over two months, I was excited to launch my latest book, “Think Big, Start Small, Scale Fast: Stories from the Stage on Disruption, Transformation and the Accelerating Future.” I had a whole series of plans to promote it, draw interest in it, get people excited about it. Then, the world changed.

But maybe I’m realizing it might be more relevant than ever! It’s pretty obvious that it is going to be an extremely complicated pathway out of this ‘thing’ for everyone. The challenges that exist are deep, the solutions complex, the process unclear.

And as I’ve often explained on stage, it is only by ‘thinking big’ that we can take on the massive challenges that we are often confronted with. It’s only by challenging the scope of our beliefs and the range of our dreams that we can do the difficult things that need to be done. It’s only by reaching for the impossible that the impossible can become possible.

At some moment in time in the future, we will look back at a few individuals, companies and leaders who grabbed the intractable nature of our future and who managed to reshape it by thinking big, being bold, challenging beliefs. Saying that ‘it can’t be done,’ to suggesting that it ‘must be done.’
