“These days, success is best measured by the few small victories that occur throughout the day, rather than the huge wins that worked before!” – Futurist Jim Carroll
I can tell you one thing – I’m going to have a really nice lawn!
And so rather than wielding a laptop on a stage, I’m using a rake in the yard! Who would have thought!
I’ve come to break up my day into various chunks of activity – the morning quote, a short bit to catch up on the state of the world (kept very short, since all the news is the same), writing some blog posts, editing video, thinking through my day.
Then, raking the lawn.
Followed by lunchtime, a walk or exercise. Helping some people out with an online project I’ve got going on.
And then, back to raking the lawn.
By then, it’s dinner time.
I think I need a bigger lawn!
But I must admit, it’s starting to look pretty good. I’m getting much of the winter detritus off of it and the thing actually starts to grow, it might actually start to look pretty good.
There are some obvious areas where racoons have been turning it over in search of grubs. This has set me on a war footing – I’m now starting to think through how I might battle back. Cayenne awaits!
Stay safe everyone!
Hunker down, keep busy – and measure your wins in new and different ways!
