“Take measure of the intensity of your enthusiasm!” – Futurist Jim Carroll
Remember that phrase from Ralph Waldo Emerson – “Nothing great was every achieved without enthusiasm!” There could be no observation that has better described the idea of going at something with eyes wide open.
But sometimes, you can fall into a rut or a routine despite your enthusiasm. Are you passionate enough for the effort that you undertake? Maybe not – and so that’s why its a good idea to pause on occasion and ask if you enthusiastic enough for what what you are trying to do.
Your goal might be a great goal at the start, and you begin with great energy and focus. Your goal doesn’t change along the way, but circumstances might. The path gets clouded, barriers get in the way, obstacles become more pronounced.
And so take a regular inventory check – assess your passion and purpose, and revisit what you need to do succeed. Refocus on the grand purpose of the vision rather than all the various things that might get in the way of your arrival!
Re-energize your enthusiasm every single day!
