“There’s the future you want. There’s the one you’ll have based on your current actions. Bridge the gap!” – Futurist Jim Carroll
Success is often the result of cumulative failures, strung together in a chain of knowledge and expertise.
And you’ll only make those cumulative failures if you are willing to take the risk to try to do all the things you haven’t done before. Fear of failure is our greatest enemy; managing uncertainty is our biggest barrier; complacency is the drug that can kill us in getting started. Get rid of those things and you’ve got a good starting point to begin your steps towards taking initiative!
You know what you hope to accomplish, and you are likely very aware of some of the things you need to do to realize your goal.
And yet, every single moment, you’ll empower yourself with a battery of excuses that will weigh you down with the disease of inaction. If you know this is your reality, why do you keep letting yourself fall prey to it?
Study those around you who have managed to move along the pathway of achievement – what do they share in common?
Action! Drive! Initiative!
You know what needs to be done. Go and do it!
Happy Monday!
