Keynote: Columbus McKinnon, Las Vegas, Nevada : The Impact of Blockchain and IoT in Manufacturing

What happens when products become intelligent, hyperconnected, aware, responsive and proactive? That was one of two areas of focus for my keynote for this company, which manufactures the overhead cranes used in manufacturing facilities and entertainment complexes around the world. The other area of my keynote was the role of the Internet of Things and blockchain in the future manufacturing process. There is no doubt that both IOT and blockchain will play a crucial role in both aspects of their industry in 10 years, and they wanted an opening keynote to challenge them to think big as to the reality of the trends.
