IT is Oxygen: Your Business is Transforming – Without World Class Infrastructure, You’ll Fail

Just before I hit the stage for a keynote for several hundred CIO’s in Stamford, CT, I was asked to talk about why IT has moved beyond “IT”.

Why? Because IT is now fundamental oxygen for every organization.

This was just before my keynote for @HMGStrategy Stamford a few months back.

Fundamentally, organizations are being built on new business models in which the IT behind the scenes is the lifeblood of the product or service. If you don’t get it right, well, it won’t go so great!
