One of the keynote topics I've been delivering on stage tees off with the title [Driving the Future - Linking the Acceleration of Golf to the Speed of Businessf](https://jimcarroll.com/keynote_topics/future-trends-acceleration-of-golf/) It's a fun, innovative talk on the link between the world's oldest game and business strategy, leadership, trends and innovation. Part of the insight comes from my own lessons from my personal obsession with the game. But it is also based on powerful innovation lessons from the two keynotes I have given to one of the largest working sports organizations in the world, the PGA of America.

If a company is having a corporate offsite, there's a good chance they will have a golf outing to go with it, and so this keynote is the perfect fit for such an event. So imagine my surprise when I was invited to talk to 25 senior executives at a corporate client meeting in none other than St. Andrews, Scotland.
Many other people know that golf is a powerful metaphor for lessons on personal achievement, motivation and overcoming challenges. Just look at the comeback by Tiger Woods to win the Masters. Many leading sports figures share their lessons on the speaking industry, and its always a thrill to share the stage with them. (I once found myself backstage in New Orleans with Terry Bradshaw, of the NFL; he was on just before me.)
The sport of golf? 25 years into my speaking career, I'm represented by some of the most prestigious speakers agents / bureaus in the world. One of them, WSB (previously Washington Speakers Bureau) also happens to represent a couple of fellows from the golfing world.
