## Article Content
I addressed several hundred corporate risk managers from some of the world’s largest organizations at Zurich’s Global Risk Management Summit in Lucerne, Switzerland. The keynote framed artificial intelligence as both promise and peril, helping the audience understand the emerging strategic, operational and human risks now defining the next era of risk management. The keynote, “AI and Risk Management,” made the point directly. The future of risk arrived early. Risk leaders needed to understand how accelerating technology was changing the nature, speed and complexity of enterprise risk. Six trends are shaping that shift. AI-Driven Risk. Intelligent systems create new operational and strategic exposure. Cyber Resilience. Threats are faster, broader and more automated. Predictive Analytics. Risk management becomes more anticipatory and data driven. Intelligent Automation. Workflows, decisions and controls increasingly execute themselves. Systemic Volatility. Climate, geopolitics and supply chains create more interconnected shocks. Trust & Governance. Human oversight, ethics and accountability become core risk disciplines. Tomorrow’s risk landscape is digital, predictive, interconnected and always on. This is one of several risk and governance conversations I return to often on stage, including a recent case study built around the Governance, Risk and Control Conference. You can browse more of that work in the case studies collection here.
