“The Jefsons, of course, predicted Snapchat!” – #FuturistJim Carroll
It’s true – Jane is changing her face with a mask!
What a great photo from my keynote yesterday in Atlantic Beach, Florida, for The Energy Agency – over 200 energy executives from around the southwest region.
A shoutout to Ashley the photographer – visit her work at www.AshleyMorton.com . It’s so wonderful when they pitch in to help out on my daily quote project – and she did a wonderful job in capturing this Jetson moment, among others.
It’s amazing what futurists can do when they set their mind to it. If you follow me, you know that I have the deepest respect for the originator of the Jetsons show – they had a vivid future oriented imagination, and so much of what they predicted has become true.
The key point that I use on stage is that is has happened far sooner then they thought it would – not 2062, the year in which the show was supposedly set, but today!
That’s why I’ve got an actual keynote topic that grabs attention and which has been used to open various conferences and events over t years: “The Jetsons have Arrived 50 Years Early: What Are You Going to Do About It?” jimcarroll.com/keynotes-workshops/future-and-trends/keyno…
It’s a lot of fun from the stage and for the audience, and this picture captures it! I can guarantee you that in the room, the young people love, and then boomers are going, ‘What?’ In the keynote, I take the audience on a tour of the fascinating, sometimes crazy yet funny predictions that flow from the show, and which are now a part of our lives today.
The key message? We live in an era of accelerating change, and the future is arriving faster than you might think! The key takeaway for the audience? Make sure to align yourself to the future now, discover the opportunities that come from being a fast mover, and align your organization for the era of accelerating change!
