# Texas Municipal League, Dallas – 100th Annual Meeting : The Future of Cities and Towns

For their 100th annual meeting, this organization that represents elected and non-elected officials for cities and towns across the state wanted an energizing look at what might come next in terms of economic development and future opportunity - and found me! I took a look at what happened in terms of other period of major transformation - the arrival of the transcontinental railway and the interstate highway system, for example. My key track line was that that those on the mainline of the next economic trends would find success. I had over 1,500 mayors and other elected officials in the room as well as staff and civic administrators.
