Jim Carroll served as the Closing Speaker at the North Carolina Hospital Association (NCHA) Summer Meeting, held July 18–20, 2012, at the Marriott Resort at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. His session, titled “Health Care 2020: World Class Innovation Strategies,” challenged hospital executives to think boldly about the transformation strategies needed to lead through a rapidly changing healthcare environment. The NCHA Summer Meeting brought together North Carolina’s hospital community to address quality, safety, economic reform, and the accelerating changes reshaping healthcare delivery — making Jim’s forward-looking perspective the ideal close to two days of intensive learning. He brought the same urgency and insight to this audience that he has delivered to healthcare organizations across North America.
