# The 26 Principles, Revisited — #25: The Collapse of Time — What I Said, and What’s Actually Happening

Part of my “26 Principles, Revisited” series — checking my own math, nine months into the year I predicted. The moment between having an idea and executing it is gone. Day 25 argued that the historical gap between conceiving an idea and shipping it — once measured in months or years — has effectively collapsed to near zero for anyone willing to use the tools available. Agentic coding tools and AI-native prototyping closed even more of that remaining gap in 2026 than I expected when I wrote this. Working software, a draft campaign, a functioning prototype — the idea-to-execution loop that used to take a sprint now regularly takes an afternoon, for anyone who has actually rebuilt their workflow around it (see Principle #23). Verdict: Nailed it — the gap kept collapsing. Next up: Principle #26, Escape Mediocrity — revisited.
