Part of my “26 Principles, Revisited” series — checking my own math, nine months into the year I predicted. Your brain is built for addition. The future is built on multiplication. Day 16 named the mental trap of thinking in sums instead of products — adding one more feature, one more hire, one more percent — when the actual opportunity in front of you is multiplicative. Agentic AI is this year’s clearest example: one well-designed agent workflow doesn’t add capacity, it multiplies it across every process it touches. The organizations still budgeting for AI the way they’d budget for one more employee are the ones most visibly missing the actual shape of the opportunity. Verdict: Held up — the multiplication argument got easier to see, not harder. Next up: Principle #17, Unapologetic Uniqueness — revisited.
