# From the Stage: What Do You Do Monday Morning?

From the stage At the end of almost every keynote, someone asks: this is great, but what do I actually do Monday morning? Speaking to a room of dental professionals, I made it clear I wasn't there to fire them up and send them home: "I'm not a motivational speaker like Tony Robbins, you know, and get up and walk on fire and it's all gonna be good." What I wanted instead was a decision: "What am I going to do to change my future before the future changes me?" Why it matters Motivation fades by lunch. Mindset sticks. The question isn't whether the trends are coming. Everyone in the room already knew their practice was being "buffeted by change." The question is whether you'll carve out time to deal with them while you're busy running the day-to-day. My Monday-morning guidance was practical: write down three ideas you heard that feel risky, commit to trying them, and find three more that are easy wins. "You have to try because we have to make ourselves action oriented" The takeaway Leave every meeting or conference with three risky ideas and three easy ones. Block time on Monday morning for the future, not just the inbox. Ask the question every week: what am I doing to change my future before it changes me?
