Seventh stop: healthcare.jimcarroll.com is live, with a companion PDF — The Future of Healthcare & Medicine. The line I use to frame this whole sector: we're moving from sick care to predictive, personalized, connected healthcare. For more than three decades I've worked with health systems, pharma companies, device makers, pharmacy organizations and clinicians watching that shift accelerate from a distant goal to an operating reality. Preventative medicine is displacing the old model of fixing people after they're already sick, pushed forward by accelerated medical science — gene therapy, regenerative medicine, new biomaterials — expanding faster than most institutions can absorb it. Bio-connectivity is stretching hospital-level monitoring into the home through wearables, implantables and remote monitoring, which is exactly why I talk about the disappearing hospital as a physical place and an expanding capability at the same time. The patient walking into the room has changed too — the empowered patient now arrives with data, research and digital tools, which changes the clinical conversation itself. AI diagnostics are augmenting imaging, decision support, treatment planning and clinical workflow, and real-time health data is replacing episodic measurement with continuous health intelligence. Pharmacy is being redefined in real time — expanding from dispensing into diagnostics, community care, vaccines and integrated health services — while the broader goal across the whole system is shifting from longevity to healthspan: not just a longer life, but a longer healthy one. And the walls between sectors are coming down: tech, insurance, food, devices, pharma and healthcare increasingly overlap into one converged industry. I've carried this into rooms with Pfizer, PhRMA, Genentech, Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim, the World Pharma Congress, Stryker, Philips Medical Devices, McKesson, the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association, and health plans including Anthem, Highmark and Blue Cross Blue Shield — pharma, devices, hospitals, pharmacy and payers, all converging on the same predictive future. If you're in healthcare, pharma, medical devices or pharmacy and want the full picture — the predictive-medicine shift, the bio-connected patient, the redefinition of pharmacy — grab the free guide, no form required: download the PDF here. And if you're planning an event for a room full of healthcare or life-science leaders — let’s talk.
