It is easy to be an armchair quarterback when you have never taken a hit on the field! I wrote that into this post back in 2022! Most armchair quarterbacks have never played the sport!

Yet, we constantly find ourselves living in a world where “everyone is an expert at everything and yet has expertise in nothing!” That’s from another post I shared.

In 2026, with AI, the problem has only grown worse. The world is flooded with internet-trained “instant experts” and slideshow strategists who profess to have deep, instant knowledge but who are easily, expressed through the buffoonery of their convictions. They grab a quick summary, stand safely on the sidelines, and shout in absolute terms because they don’t have to face the messy reality of truth.

This pandemic of false knowledge is a massive threat because it actively creeps into corporate cultures and reinforces organizational sclerosis. Organizations with too many fake experts end up building towers of false promises, eventually crashing to the burden of truth.

True authority does not come from a quick search.

It’s earned through effort.
