The story of the FutureBeat.Team is the inspiration for today’s Daily Inspiration! I’m a corporate futurist guy outside of Toronto, Canada, with insight into the trends that define the future. Tom is the rockstar-drummer corporate team builder guy (ex of the 80s band Scritti Politti), based in London, England, with the proven skill of getting boring corporate events out of their boredom and into the energy.

As with so many millions around the world, Tom I met during Covid. I was busy building a virtual broadcast studio to support his keynote speaking activities online; Tom was busy doing the same thing in his home in the UK in order to provide virtual team-building programs. By happenstance, we found each other through an online support group for their virtual studio software. We bonded and found that we shared a similar mindset of opportunity, hope, and growth.

I  wrote Tom’s story into an entire chapter of my book, “Now What? Reinvention and the Role of Optimism in Finding Your Next Future.” Then, when I had a keynote in London last fall, we got together and met in person, and in our conversations, kicked around a few ideas that led to this initiative.
