5 1/2 years ago today, I began to define myself by my optimism, rather than destroy myself through my pessimism
That’s when I started my Daily Inspiration post. You see it on my Web site and social media feed every single workday. You might not read them; you might just glance at them.
But here’s why I write it in a world in which there are a zillion similar inspirational posts: since that time 5 1/2 years ago, I have begun my day with a moment of quiet reflection to gather my thoughts, structure my mind. It helps to remind me that I need to be an optimist. Relentlessly so.
I haven’t missed writing them each workday since that time. I force myself, one day at a time, to look at the future as an opportunity, and not a threat.
I write them as much for myself as I do for the people who read and follow them.
And one day, in the studio, I interviewed myself as to my focus on optimism, and why I write them.
Here’s a few of the latest. There are now almost 1,500 of them. Little bullets of motivation every single day!
