“Always. Build. Something. Better!” – Futurist Jim Carroll
A small clip from a little ‘show’ I did yesterday for my “Notable Keynotes: Lessons in Leadership” series – in this case, “My Keynote @Disney.”
The context for the picture? Yet another new stage set – I’m figuring out how to play within the small space afforded to me, because I’ve got big ideas on where I can go with it! I’m defining my future not just by the scope of the opportunity but by the boundaries of my imagination!
Here’s my mindset – the moment you stop innovating, you stop growing. And when the moment is right, you max out your capabilities, push the boundaries, explore the limits and dance a little around the edge. You do that with the idea in mind that timing is everything – it’s when everyone else is wallowing around in indecision that you’ll discover the scope of your own opportunity.
Not only that, but your chance for success is particularly ripe when everyone else is failing …… it’s when everyone else is delivering a crappy product because they aren’t quite sure what to do, it’s time for you to make the killer move to win! Have you been to some of these online Zoom Webinars and online annual conferences. Most speakers look they are a hostage in a hostage video!
So what are you waiting for? It’s long been a truism that most people wait for someone else to define their future – and then there are those of us who go out and create the future we want!
