And what a theme it is!

For many people, today’s complex, fast world is too difficult to navigate on their own. It’s far too easy to be overwhelmed by the scope of the challenges that exist, the problems to be overcome, the scale of the barrier to be broken.

And then there is the size of the effort that needs to put into dealing with a new reality, the effort that needs to go towards making progress, the commitment that is required to keep on track, not to forget the degree of difficulty that is required to navigate through the new, uncertain and recognizable world.

In my home of Toronto, Canada, there’s a great, fast growing medical clinic for weight loss for men that has the radio jingle tag-line: “Remember, if you do it alone, you would have done it already!” The commercial is played over and over and over again — and is as annoying as anything you might ever here – but what a perfect tag line for the power of group based motivation!

So when the world is crazy-complex, why would you even bother to try to do it on your own?

Partner up!

Because after all, we all know that you’ll get by with a little help from your friends!
