Let’s talk about energy.

Oil as a trend is over – the era of carbon is on decline. Batteries, micro-grids, solar, wind, renewables, electric vehicles are the dominant trend going forward.

I’ve been telling folks that for years. As of late, organizations like Forbes, Fortune, Bloomberg, and the CEO’s of energy companies have come to acknowledge that fact.

And then, we’ve got politics. Listen to some of these idiots, and you’d think that coal is on an upswing; that you can’t use your TV when the wind stops blowing (um, hello? Batteries? Microgrid tech….), and that it’s a great idea to turn the Environmental Protection Agency into a real world Environment Destruction Agency.

I remain hopeful.

Because in the long run, logic matters, science determines our future, idiots disappear, and the future that we know is going to happen will happen.

It might take some fits and starts to get there, with some ridiculous interruptions along the way, but it eventually gets there.

I often wonder what Spock would have to say if he lived in our modern day world?
