Daily inspiration: “It’s not about what you know….”

“It’s not about what you know – it’s about what you do with it!”

Knowledge is wonderful – but initiative is even better!

Knowledge with a purpose is the idea that you should start every day with action!

You’ve probably got a lot of unique skills, insights and capabilities, and might be working all the time to improve & enhance them. But if you never use that insight, not only do you run the risk of losing it – but you’ll also end up feeling unfulfilled. That’s a dangerous trap.

And you’ll miss out on the big opportunities that surround you.

Sadly, I see people and companies who have squandered opportunity all the time because they don’t capitalize on what they know – it doesn’t fit the strategy, it’s too different, it breaks the rules. That’s why I will often talk on stage about the need to ‘innovate on purpose!’ Great companies establish a culture of purpose driven innovation so that they can really use the great talents they possess.
If you’ve got great assets, break the rules and do something with them!

So here’s a question for you today: are you stuck? Lacking momentum? Spinning your wheels? All in the context of knowing that what you know could help you accomplish great things?
