Every morning, you face a conscious decision – will you make today a great day, or just another marginal day in a string of marginal days? Will you work hard to pursue your passion and purpose, or will you just go through the motions? Will you do the things you should be doing that you know are better for you, or will you abandon your potential success to old, bad habits?

I’m a big fan of starting each day with conscious purpose, with a goal, and with a bit of reflection on the things you will do that day to make the day a better day. These daily motivational quotes have become my morning mantra, my method of starting the day out right in a proper, great frame of mind.

I exchanged these thoughts through the weekend with a good friend who is struggling with his ability to keep things in check. Emails were flying back and forth as I shared my relentless optimism with him as a pathway for opportunity.

I was out hiking while doing so, and at one point, made the comment found in today’s quote with him as being reflective of my own state of mind.

And it is. Each morning, I start out knowing that it’s in me to make it a great day – and so I’ll start out what that goal in mind.
