“You shouldn’t have to define yourself with the belief that kindness is courage!” - Futurist  Jim Carroll Every time that I read a poll that indicates the evangelicals support a leader and policies that are focused on hate, mistreatment of the unfortunate, active racism and worse , I wonder what happened to them - and the religion that they purport to operate within. It’s certainly not anything that I nor the rest of those with deep moral values, respect and love recognize. And yet here we are - a time in which if you show kindness, tolerance and compassion, you seem to have to defend it and yourself to others. In a time in which hate is on the increase, you’ve got to remind yourself each and every day that you need to focus on the kindness in your soul. Sometimes, when you read the latest headlines, you need to dig down deep. Never stop. This might be a long game, and we’ve got to be convinced that maybe, at the end of the day, basic human decency will win. Let’s hope at least that it does.
