I’m always listening carefully to what other people are saying, in order to discover nuggets of wisdom. In a meeting the other day, one of my friends make this comment – and I immediately wrote it down. It echoes my own personal thinking.
It’s easy to have great ideas and bold goals, but it’s another thing altogether to have the audacity to see them through. History is littered with the wreckage of those who had potential in their grasp, but were never able to make that very first step towards seeing it accomplished.
What holds you back? Fear? Worry? Thinking that you can’t accomplish it? An attitude of defeatism?
The most potent weapon that acts as a barrier to success is a lack of belief in ourselves – in the strength of our ideas, the rightness of our mission, or our ability to accomplish things. If you recognize that and personally battle back, you’ll find yourself ending up in a different place.
You need a foundation on which you can build, and your idea will give you what you need – but you’ll only get there if you are willing to take that critical first step!
