“Let’s light up your mind with moments of creative inspiration, through the lens of the trends that will shape your future!” - Futurist Jim Carroll I debated whether I could use this photo or not - it’s an extract from a film reel, and not very clear. But it gives you a picture of what my job looks like from my side of the stage! It also neatly summarizes what I do. I was on the phone the other day with a potential client - a large builder. He wanted a session that could accelerate the creativity and agility of his team, to deal with the fact his world is becoming faster. I explained to him that he could find a lot of speakers who might come in and talk about their secrets for creative success - but that’s not what I would do. He seemed taken aback - until I explained that I would first outline the key trends providing both opportunity and challenge for his organization in the future. From that point, I would then have the right frame of mind to put into perspective the opportunities for creativity that would flow from those trends.’’
