‘’ We’ve been taught since birth to be modest, not boastful, and to be low key. But we should take pride in our accomplishments – there is nothing to be ashamed about in celebrating success, or feeling good about achievement.

And hence, today’s quote. It’s a running joke with my personal trainer – if I finish a set just a little better than the last one, I’ll ask, “was I more awesome on that one?” I am likely the most difficult gym client on the planet, I suppose, but I’m proud of my efforts. 30 years ago, I smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day, imbibed to excess, and ate like a junk-food champion. Today, well, I’m a little more awesome with every set at the gym!

So it should be with your own accomplishments – but there is a careful balance between being overtly proud, and inwardly happy with your goals and your progress!’’
