‘’ The quote came to mind in an instant when I saw that the first message on my phone this morning was from my personal trainer, asking to confirm when I was coming in this week!

The quote fits our world of business today. Most organizations are not structured for speed – their innovation arteries are clogged with organizational sclerosis! Maybe that’s why 2017 featured a number of keynotes on my theme, “Being Agile: How Innovators Thrive in the High Velocity Economy.” Agile is a concept developed in the world of IT, and aligns around the concept of speed – it’s better to build and innovative in small chunks rather than one big, massive project. It’s a concept that is quickly coming to the leadership suite, as companies realize that the only thing that will get them forward in the era of disruption is the ability to act, move, respond, and innovate faster.
