# Keynote: UNC School of Government, Chapel Hill – The Future of Governance in a Complex World

It's not often you get in to talk to the graduating class of a university program, but that's what this event was about. The University of North Carolina thought that the folks attending a course on the role of government needed a rousing sendoff for their graduation, and found me! It wasn't a commencement speech, but for me, it was close enough. In the room were government executives from state, federal and municipal organizations, and I took them on a voyage of how a wide variety of future trends would provide both opportunity and challenge for government organizations into the future.
