# Daily Inspiration: “Don’t fall to the pressure of having to do more. Just try to do better.”

*“Don’t fall to the pressure of having to do more. Just try to do better.”* – Futurist Jim Carroll

It’s Monday! And if you are like most people, you are waking up to a long list of things you think you NEED to accomplish.

But do you?

The result is that your day might be spent in a frantic haze, going from this item to that item and then back again. The upshot is that you might get to many things on your list – but won’t end up doing any of them very well.

Here’s a thought: maybe you don’t need to do ‘many things’ haphazardly – maybe you should just do one thing.

Today. Look, I get it – it’s very easy to feel trapped by the idea that success means filling up your calendar, chasing every opportunity, and saying yes to everything. But just adding more stuff  to a busy routine is not a good strategy.

*It is actually just a quick way to burn out and do average work.*

Successful people have the discipline to block out distractions and focus on doing a great job.

They know that doing one thing well ALWAYS beats doing many things with marginal results.

Because that *one thing* is often *THE THING* that moves them forward.

Don’t do more.

Do better.
