# Daily Inspiration: “You’ll never get started if you don’t make some initiative!”

The phrase, of course, is ‘*taking initiative*,’ but I came up with the idea of ‘*making initiative*‘ while out on a walk. My wife told me that’s not a phrase, but it’s my daily quote, so I’m going with it – I like little tricks with a phrase because it helps people to remember it a bit more.

Often, the most difficult part of the process of innovation, disruption, or reinvention is simply getting started – indecision becomes the barrier that drives the lack of our momentum. That’s why I think one of the best launchpads for creativity is to actually start working with a project without knowing exactly where you are going. Adopt this phrase -> “I don’t know where I’m going but I’m making great time!”

That certainly became the case with my virtual broadcast studio during the pandemic – considering where I started and the massive sophistication of what I have in place now, as witnessed by the screenshot, I certainly spent a lot of time manufacturing some momentum and making initiative!
