# Keynote: Schneider Electric, Austin Texas – The Industrial Internet of Things and ReInventing Process Manufacturing

There’s a lot of talk about the Internet of Things. In the world of manufacturing, it goes by the phrase “Industrial Internet of Things.”

Essentially, we will layer billions of sensors throughout manufacturing facilities, which will a lot of ‘machine to machine’, automated communication, automated supply chain with IOT tracking, and subsequent interaction for diagnostics, operating characteristics, health checks, status info and more

And that’s what I covered in my keynote for several hundred customers of this major company involved in this space – the room was full of engineers from chemical, energy and other manufacturing process organizations.
