# Keynote: Canadian Finance & Leasing Association, Montreal, Canada :  Leasing in the Era of Shared Mobility

Self-driving cars, blockchain, Bitcoin, the sharing economy, disruptive change in leasing business models …. if the essence of your industry is servicing an industry that is undergoing a massive change, you’d better comprehend that change. With that, this organization invited me in to address their annual conference, with a wide ranging talk on the overall theme: “*If what you lease is changing, the essence of your lease will change too*.” The keynote also took a look at the impact of blockchain as a driver for disruptive change in the very concept of vehicle ownership.
