# Daily Inspiration: “Initiative is innovation oxygen!”

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut. It can be more difficult to get out of it! (That in itself can be a quote)

One friend was faced with a complex path forward, but didn’t know where to start. I spent some time walking through an option and gave some insight to a potential road forward. I wasn’t certain whether he’d go ahead with it, but to my delight he did, and faster than I might have suspected. That was the source for today’s inspiration!

From the perspective of the stories I tell on stage, it fits. I see too man y organizations get stuck in an innovation rut – they become so smothered with organizational sclerosis that they can’t breathe. They are clogged up by an inability to move – committees drag them down and the status quo pulls them under. They clearly need a boost to get ahead – they need the oxygen of innovation!
